Annual Report

The Judicial Commission of Victoria (JCV) is an independent body that was established to investigate complaints about judicial officers and members of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Bite was commissioned to design and produce the 2023-24, with a brief to provide a visually interesting report that reflected the brand new visual identity of JCV (also developed by Bite).

The theme of the report was ‘Perspectives and perceptions – various stakeholders see the Commission’s process from different points of view’. To represent this theme, we introduced a number of ‘ambiguous’ images, which represented concept of different perspectives.

The report included 118 pages plus cover, a number of graphics and illustrations and a set of financial data. As the JCV reports to the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety, there were specific dates for reporting and tabling.

As a complete departure from previous reports and as the first major branded project since the launch of the new visual identity, the client was delighted with the result.
