The Personal Injury Commission of NSW (PIC) is an independent statutory tribunal within the justice system of New South Wales. Its primary function is to resolve disputes between people injured in motor accidents or workplaces in NSW and insurers and employers. The commission was established in March 2021, replacing the State Insurance Regulatory Authority’s Dispute Resolution Services and the Workers Compensation Commission.

Bite has designed and produced the 100-page 2021–22, 2022–23 and 2023–24 Annual Reviews for the Personal Injury Commission of NSW – which represent each of the first three years of the PIC’s operations.

The brief was to keep the design clean and modern while adhering to PIC’s visual branding. In the 2023–24 Review, main design elements included the ‘Achievements’ spread where a number of icons were created to assist in presenting data on PIC’s performance against key indicators as well as various graphic elements throughout the report to help deliver important information in a visually interesting way.

In addition to a printed report, Bite created an accessibility-compliant web PDF, ensuring that the document can be easily accessed and read by a wide range of audiences. Overall, Bite’s work on the Annual Reviews helped PIC effectively communicate their results and achievements in
an informative, engaging and user-friendly format.
